I thought it would be a good idea to regularly post about current sales and deals that are going on. So this is my first and hopefully there will be many more to come.
The first deal I thought I would mention is on vouchercodes, if you don't know what vouchercodes is its basically a place that regularly gives u offers on restaurants, shops etc. you can visit the website vouchercodes.com or download the app! There was one deal that caught my eye, 30% off at The Bodyshop. This is a great saving, I'll certainly be using mine in store.
The next offer is on BrandAlley, BrandAlley is a site which sells designer brands but not at designer prices! They are offering an amazing £10 off anything when you spend £60 or more. You just need to enter the code GET10 at checkout to get your bargain! The offer ends on the 30th September 2012 so hurry!
The final offer I am going to mention is a sale, the new look sale! If you didn't know already the new look sale is always amazing! about half the store is covered in sale racks and all the clothes are really discounted, not like some stores which only take a few pounds off. The sale ends on 5/10/12 so make sure you head down and grab some great deals!
Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see more.

Cheaper alternative to the urban decay primer potion!
I don't know about you but eye primer is one thing that I CANNOT live without! I have oily lids and the crease in my eye means that eye shadow creases like crazy within an hour. So I need a primer to keep it in place.
I don't mind spending the money on eyeshadow primers because it is an essential for me, but now I have found a much cheaper alternative I will never turn back.
You probably think I'm going to start talking about the ELF eyeshadow primer, people have mentioned that it is comparable to the urban decay primer potion and it is. However on my eyes I need something with a slightly thicker consistency as I find it creates a better base for my eye shadow. The MUA professional eye primer is perfect!
For me the MUA professional eye primer works brilliantly, it keeps my eyeshadow on all day. Its definitely just as good as the urban decay eyeshadow primer. the best part is the price it's only £2.50 and is available at Superdrug.
The consistency of this eye primer is very comparable to the urban decay primer potion, slightly thick and creamy but easy to blend. It sets and leaves a smooth base covering any veins on your eyelid. The product comes in a tube with a sponge tip applicator on a wand, this makes it easy to apply over the eyelid. I would definitely give this a go if your in the market for a new eyeshadow primer.

Boots Botanics skincare review
Recently boots have redesigned their Botanics range. I had tried a few products in the past and liked them so I could not resist picking up some of their redesigned products as I love the new packaging! Botanics is an affordable range from Boots that uses 'the power of plants' to create natural and some organic products. I am going to be focusing on the skincare. As you can see from the image below the Botanics range has something for everyone. This is something I really like about the overall brand, it has different products for different skin types.
The first product I picked up was the Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz. I mainly wanted to try this because of the hype around the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I have to say I really like this product, I didn't notice that it made a huge difference to my skin but I don't find that toners really do in my opinion. It is a very reasonable price at £4.99 for 150ml. It is light refreshing and great for a boost in the hot summer months. It does have a rose smell which I wasn't sure I would get on with at first as I'm not a fan of rose scents. However after a few uses I got used to it and I don't notice the scent anymore. I would definitely repurchase this just because it feels so nice and refreshing in the morning and when its hot.
The next product i got was the Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream, this is only £3.99 for 250ml. I really like this product, like it says it is gentle but it still leaves my skin feeling clean. I use this product on a cotton wool pad to remove my face makeup in the evening, then I use a different cleaner with warm water afterwards. I really do find that this removes my face makeup well and its great for them lazy days when you don't want to wash your face properly. I also use this in the morning to quickly cleanse my skin as I don't always have time to wash it with water etc.
The next product is the Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF15. There isn't a lot to say about this product, its just a nice moisturiser for the day. I like it as it is light and doesn't make my skin greasy or shiny. I also like the fact that it has SPF in it so I am always protected on my face. This retails for £4.99 for 50ml.
The final product is the Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Relief Serum, this claims to reduce the skins sensitivity within 2 weeks but I cant really comment on this as I haven't noticed a huge difference. However I love this product! It isn't like most serums I have tried, it is more of a liquidy cream that feels wonderful on the skin. I use this at night and in the morning after my moisturiser as a base for my makeup because it makes my skin feel so smooth! This is the most expensive product i have tried from Botanics at £7.99 but I feel its worth it for the way it makes my skin feel. I also love the tube this comes in, I feel it looks quite expensive.
If you are thinking about trying these products now is the time to do it as Boots are doing a 1/3 of the Botanics range. I am definitely going to be trying more of their products as I run out of the things I am trying. I just love that they are simple, affordable products that make my skin feel great.

Fashion that is perfect for you!
Another website recommendation today. I came across this website and I think it is fantastic! Its called 'dressipi'. It is a website that recommends clothing for you based on your body shape and style. I have come across websites like this before but there is one thing about this one that makes it work for me, its not all pricey!
They allow you to choose you favourite stores and least favourite stores. What I love about this website is that they go from cheap high street to pricey designer. They have brands like Primark and George at asda to brands like Ted Baker and Marc Jacobs.
They recommend you clothes and accessories based on the information you give them and you can like and dislike the pieces to give them an even better idea of what you like. Another great feature is that you can give the reason you don't like a piece which I think is great because they know if there is a certain feature you don't like, for example a high neckline on a top.
I think this is a really nice site to just browse through and get some great fashion recommendations. Let me know what you think if you do check it out http://dressipi.com/my_home

Best beauty website!
I was recently browsing through apps on my ipod and came across one called 'beautylish'. I was instantly addicted and the next day searched it online to find the website. The reason I'm doing a post on this is to let you all know about this great beauty site, in case u haven't heard of it already.
So whats it all about? Well from the name you can probably tell its a site on beauty. On there you can find articles that share new things, tips and tricks, the latest beauty news and much more! You can also get product reviews, watch videos (similar to the beauty community on you tube), and look at inspirational photos. I love this feature in particular because it inspires me to try different looks and play around with my makeup, hair, and nails. Another great feature is the 'talk' section. This is kind of like a chat forum, you can create a topic and people comment on it. Or you can comment on other people's topics. the topics could be about anything, from product recommendations to emergency advice.
You can create an account on beautilish either through facebook or just by putting in you email address. Having an account allows you to 'heart' articles, topics, products, videos, and photos that you like. This saves them for you so you can refer back to them.
I am absolutely obsessed with this website/app and I think you will be to! So make sure to check it out http://www.beautylish.com/.
If you have any other great websites or apps to recommend please leave a comment!

17 BB cream review
Hi everyone,
Today I am doing a review on 17's BB cream. BB stands for blemish balm if you didn't know. BB creams have become very popular recently and many brands are starting to jump onto the idea. BB creams claim to be the 'all in one product' that work as a primer, foundation and moisturiser all in one easy step. The 17 BB cream claims to; cover any imperfections with full coverage, help to control oil, smooth and even skin tone, and protect the skin with SPF protection (I'm a little confused with this part as online it says it has an SPF of 15 and on the box it says SPF 25, however any SPF is good to have in a 'foundation'). So it sounds like the perfect product! But is it?
The first huge downfall I would have to say about this product is the appalling shade range! It only comes in medium and light, which even for drugstore foundations is ridiculous. I have mine in the shade light as I am very pale, however it is not pale enough so I have to mix it with my Barry M white foundation (please let me know if you would like a review on this). But because this is quite a lightweight product you could get away with it not matching you exactly. What I will say about the shade is that it is not orange, which I hate! It may not be light enough for me but it is a lovely shade and does not look at all orange if I wear it on its own, it just makes me look a little more tanned. This is great considering the fact that most drugstore foundations come up orange on my skin tone.
Apart from the colour range though, I think this is a really great product! I have normal to combination skin and I find that it does tend to get a bit shiny throughout the day, but it stays put and does not melt of my face! So it doesn't bother me that it gets a bit shiny as I can just blot my skin as and when I need to. Because of the shininess though I think people with very oily skin may want to stay away, unless you use a really good setting powder. I love the coverage it gives also, I would not say it is full coverage like it says but it covers enough that I don't feel the need for concealer. I would also like to say that my skin is very acne prone and at the moment it has flared up! But this sits on spots really nicely, it does not make them look dry or crispy it just glides over them and makes your skin look much more flawless.
Overall I really like this product for an everyday foundation, it makes a nice change from my usual full coverage foundations. The consistency of this product is light and creamy, it feels so nice on your skin! It is available and boots and is only £6.99 which I think is a very reasonable price!
After trying this product I definitely would like to venture more into the 'BB cream world' so if you have any recommendations please let me know!
Thanks

Review and comparison of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter and the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick
Hey everyone,
Today I have a review and comparison of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter and the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick. I have one from each brand in similar colours and have been testing them for the past few weeks.
Some background information on the products...
Both products retail for £7.99 (UK) in both Boots and Superdrug, so there is not much to compare on price. This is not amazingly cheap, however it is a very decent price for a good lip product. I have the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in the shade 'Strawberry Shortcake' and the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in the shade 'Lovely Rose 03'. These shades both a sort of 'barbie pink' colour but because of the different formula's they apply differently on the lips.
The formulations...
The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter is the most pigmented out of the two. The term 'lipbutter' certainly lives up to expectations, it is creamy, thick and very moisturising! It also lasts quite well on the lips, which is surprising. Once the product has worn off it leaves almost a stain on your lip,s which is really nice as you do not have to keep applying it as often.
The L'Oreal Rouge Caresse is a much thinner consistency and it is not as pigmented. It reminds me of a tinted lip balm, however it is not as moisturising as the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in my opinion because it is not as thick. It also does not last very long at all which means you need to reapply it more often. However the plus side of this product is that you do not need a mirror to reapply it because it is sheer, meaning you only have to quickly sweep it on your lips and your done. Whereas with the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter you do need to be a bit more careful.
Overall thoughts...
In my opinion the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter is the better product. It lasts longer, its more pigmented and it is more creamy and moisturising. However it depends what you are looking for in these products, a lot of people prefer the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse because it is more like a lip balm. So if you are looking for a tinted lip balm that you can just chuck on without a mirror you should go for the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse. But if you are looking for a moisturising lipstick that you have to take your time applying, but will last longer you should go for the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter.
I hope you found this review and comparison helpful, let me know what one you prefer and what colours you would recommend!
