Today's post is going to be the first of many outfit ideas. Each post will be based around a theme, this one, as you can see from the title, is Spikes and Studs. I love the edginess of this look, it was inspired by the wonderful Jasmine from WildYoungThing on Youtube. She is lovely and I love her style, make sure you go check her out if you haven't already!
I thought I would also compare it to the Revlon Colorstay foundation. I've been using the Nearly naked foundation for a few days now and I have to say I'm really liking it!

Colour
First the colour/shade, I'm very pale so I have the lightest shade in both which is Ivory. The Colorstay is a perfect match for me and very suitable for pale skin, I would say its the best foundation you can get for pale skin at the drugstore. The Nearly Naked foundation however appears to be a slightly darker colour, despite being in the same shade. However when applied to the skin it is still a perfect match, I'm not sure is it just looks different in the bottle or whether it just blends out nicely.

Consistency
The Colorstay is quite a thick consistency and gives and medium, but build able, coverage. The Nearly naked foundation is the complete opposite. It is a thin and quite liquidy consistency. Because of this it provides light to medium coverage depending on the amount you apply.

Staying power
From the name you can tell that the Colorstay has fantastic staying power, it wears really nicely and on my combination skin it doesn't get too shiny throughout the day. With the Nearly Naked foundation I wasn't expecting it to last well on my skin as most light foundations don't. However I was pleasantly surprised! It lasted beautifully on my skin and didn't get shiny throughout the day.

Overall I am really impressed with the Nearly Naked foundation and I love having both the Colorstay and the Nearly Naked foundation in my make up collection. The Colorstay is great when you want full coverage and, as it only has a low spf, it would be good for photos. The Nearly Naked is perfect for everyday, I think it will be great in summer as it has an spf of 20.
This may give you an idea of a gift for your special someone, or something to wear yourself on valentines day.

The first is definetly the cheapest, it's the Love Hearts strawberry eau de toilette. At just £5 for 30ml it's a great bargain. But dont let the price tag fool you, it smells great. Its very sweet, girly and a perfect valentine scent for a girly girl.

My next choice is the Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy. But I think any of the Britney Spears perfumes are great, Midnight fantasy is just my personal favourite. It is fruity and flirty, but still has a slight muskiness to it as it has vanilla as a base note. This perfume is about £20 for 30ml which I think is a great price.

Next is the Beyonce Heat perfume, this is another one of my personal favourites. Like the Midnight fantasy it is fruity with a hint of muskiness, however the smell is slightly less sharper than the midnight fantasy. This is also about £20 for 30ml.

My final choice is the most expensive, however i would still consider it to be affordable considering the price of most perfumes. It's Vera Wang Princess, not only does the heart shape bottle perfectly fit with the valentines theme but the smell does to. When I smell this perfume I think 'romance', its soft and sexy but still sweet and flirty at the same time. This is about £34 for 30ml.

Whether your spending valentines day alone or with someone special you can still get in the spirit and smell great! Hope you have a brilliant valentines day, however you spend it.

P.S. All the perfumes mentioned are available at boots who currently have 10% on their perfumes!

Recently we've had a lot of snow and although I love it, Ive had enough! I'm tired of layering, bundling in thick scarves, throwing on big coats and trying to keep my toes warm in three pairs of socks! So I have been thinking of the warmer weather, it may be early but I'm already thinking about what I'm going to wear this spring/summer. So I decided to put together a little list of my top styles that I am going to attempt to rock this spring/summer. Hope you enjoy!

High waisted shorts
I love the look of high waisted shorts with almost everything! I think they look great with tops tucked into them or with crop tops. I also love that you can wear them for most occasions, casual with some high tops and a crop top or dressy with a shirt tucked in and some killer heels! This year I really want to get some Levi shorts, I see them on everyone and they look so cool! The ones in the picture below are from eBay, I love the stud detail on the back pockets. In my opinion I think eBay is the best place to look for Levi shorts as there are so many different styles to choose from and there are a lot of really cool revamped ones.

Summer dresses
Summer dresses are the easiest thing to wear in spring and summer. You can just chuck them on and instantly look fabulous without much effort. I love this one from Topshop, it has a black and white lace/floral design. I love it because it is different from your standard floral print summer dress. I'm thinking about this one as it is £32 which is a reasonable price, however I'm not sure if I would get a lot of wear out of it. Let me know what you think!

Denim shirts
I love the look of denim shirts in spring and summer, I think they look great worn open with a casual printed top underneath or buttoned up with collar tips. The one I found is £16.99 from New look, a great price! I will definitely be buying a demin shirt to wear this spring/summer!

Aztec

The aztec trend is still going strong and looks great on almost every piece of clothing. There are many different styles of the aztec print, some bold, some muted, and some that are absolutely crazy! Personally I like the look of aztec when it is slightly muted and less 'in your face'. I love this crop top from New look, the aztec is really subtle and I think it looks really stylish. I will definitely be purchasing this piece as it is only £8.99! I also think that this could be worn for many different occasions because of the subtlety of the print.

Floral
The floral print always seems to come back every spring/summer and I have to say I do sometimes get a bit bored of it. However there are certain pieces that I absolutely love, I'm also quite picky when it comes to the print. But I love this one from Boohoo, the print is beautiful and so are the colours! I also love the skirt itself, its a really nice shape. It's also a great price at £12.00.

So this is my first and hopefully there will be many more to come.

The first deal I thought I would mention is on vouchercodes, if you don't know what vouchercodes is its basically a place that regularly gives u offers on restaurants, shops etc. you can visit the website vouchercodes.com or download the app! There was one deal that caught my eye, 30% off at The Bodyshop. This is a great saving, I'll certainly be using mine in store.

The next offer is on BrandAlley, BrandAlley is a site which sells designer brands but not at designer prices! They are offering an amazing £10 off anything when you spend £60 or more. You just need to enter the code GET10 at checkout to get your bargain! The offer ends on the 30th September 2012 so hurry!

The final offer I am going to mention is a sale, the new look sale! If you didn't know already the new look sale is always amazing! about half the store is covered in sale racks and all the clothes are really discounted, not like some stores which only take a few pounds off. The sale ends on 5/10/12 so make sure you head down and grab some great deals!

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want to see more.
I have oily lids and the crease in my eye means that eye shadow creases like crazy within an hour. So I need a primer to keep it in place.

I don't mind spending the money on eyeshadow primers because it is an essential for me, but now I have found a much cheaper alternative I will never turn back.

You probably think I'm going to start talking about the ELF eyeshadow primer, people have mentioned that it is comparable to the urban decay primer potion and it is. However on my eyes I need something with a slightly thicker consistency as I find it creates a better base for my eye shadow. The MUA professional eye primer is perfect!

For me the MUA professional eye primer works brilliantly, it keeps my eyeshadow on all day. Its definitely just as good as the urban decay eyeshadow primer. the best part is the price it's only £2.50 and is available at Superdrug.
The consistency of this eye primer is very comparable to the urban decay primer potion, slightly thick and creamy but easy to blend. It sets and leaves a smooth base covering any veins on your eyelid. The product comes in a tube with a sponge tip applicator on a wand, this makes it easy to apply over the eyelid. I would definitely give this a go if your in the market for a new eyeshadow primer.
I had tried a few products in the past and liked them so I could not resist picking up some of their redesigned products as I love the new packaging! Botanics is an affordable range from Boots that uses 'the power of plants' to create natural and some organic products. I am going to be focusing on the skincare. As you can see from the image below the Botanics range has something for everyone. This is something I really like about the overall brand, it has different products for different skin types.

The first product I picked up was the Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz. I mainly wanted to try this because of the hype around the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I have to say I really like this product, I didn't notice that it made a huge difference to my skin but I don't find that toners really do in my opinion. It is a very reasonable price at £4.99 for 150ml. It is light refreshing and great for a boost in the hot summer months. It does have a rose smell which I wasn't sure I would get on with at first as I'm not a fan of rose scents. However after a few uses I got used to it and I don't notice the scent anymore. I would definitely repurchase this just because it feels so nice and refreshing in the morning and when its hot.

The next product i got was the Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream, this is only £3.99 for 250ml. I really like this product, like it says it is gentle but it still leaves my skin feeling clean. I use this product on a cotton wool pad to remove my face makeup in the evening, then I use a different cleaner with warm water afterwards. I really do find that this removes my face makeup well and its great for them lazy days when you don't want to wash your face properly. I also use this in the morning to quickly cleanse my skin as I don't always have time to wash it with water etc.

The next product is the Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream SPF15. There isn't a lot to say about this product, its just a nice moisturiser for the day. I like it as it is light and doesn't make my skin greasy or shiny. I also like the fact that it has SPF in it so I am always protected on my face. This retails for £4.99 for 50ml.

The final product is the Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Relief Serum, this claims to reduce the skins sensitivity within 2 weeks but I cant really comment on this as I haven't noticed a huge difference. However I love this product! It isn't like most serums I have tried, it is more of a liquidy cream that feels wonderful on the skin. I use this at night and in the morning after my moisturiser as a base for my makeup because it makes my skin feel so smooth! This is the most expensive product i have tried from Botanics at £7.99 but I feel its worth it for the way it makes my skin feel. I also love the tube this comes in, I feel it looks quite expensive.

If you are thinking about trying these products now is the time to do it as Boots are doing a 1/3 of the Botanics range. I am definitely going to be trying more of their products as I run out of the things I am trying. I just love that they are simple, affordable products that make my skin feel great.
I came across this website and I think it is fantastic! Its called 'dressipi'. It is a website that recommends clothing for you based on your body shape and style. I have come across websites like this before but there is one thing about this one that makes it work for me, its not all pricey!

They allow you to choose you favourite stores and least favourite stores. What I love about this website is that they go from cheap high street to pricey designer. They have brands like Primark and George at asda to brands like Ted Baker and Marc Jacobs.

They recommend you clothes and accessories based on the information you give them and you can like and dislike the pieces to give them an even better idea of what you like. Another great feature is that you can give the reason you don't like a piece which I think is great because they know if there is a certain feature you don't like, for example a high neckline on a top.

I think this is a really nice site to just browse through and get some great fashion recommendations. Let me know what you think if you do check it out http://dressipi.com/my_home
I was instantly addicted and the next day searched it online to find the website. The reason I'm doing a post on this is to let you all know about this great beauty site, in case u haven't heard of it already.

So whats it all about? Well from the name you can probably tell its a site on beauty. On there you can find articles that share new things, tips and tricks, the latest beauty news and much more! You can also get product reviews, watch videos (similar to the beauty community on you tube), and look at inspirational photos. I love this feature in particular because it inspires me to try different looks and play around with my makeup, hair, and nails. Another great feature is the 'talk' section. This is kind of like a chat forum, you can create a topic and people comment on it. Or you can comment on other people's topics. the topics could be about anything, from product recommendations to emergency advice.

You can create an account on beautilish either through facebook or just by putting in you email address. Having an account allows you to 'heart' articles, topics, products, videos, and photos that you like. This saves them for you so you can refer back to them.

I am absolutely obsessed with this website/app and I think you will be to! So make sure to check it out http://www.beautylish.com/.

If you have any other great websites or apps to recommend please leave a comment!

Today I am doing a review on 17's BB cream. BB stands for blemish balm if you didn't know. BB creams have become very popular recently and many brands are starting to jump onto the idea. BB creams claim to be the 'all in one product' that work as a primer, foundation and moisturiser all in one easy step. The 17 BB cream claims to; cover any imperfections with full coverage, help to control oil, smooth and even skin tone, and protect the skin with SPF protection (I'm a little confused with this part as online it says it has an SPF of 15 and on the box it says SPF 25, however any SPF is good to have in a 'foundation'). So it sounds like the perfect product! But is it?

The first huge downfall I would have to say about this product is the appalling shade range! It only comes in medium and light, which even for drugstore foundations is ridiculous. I have mine in the shade light as I am very pale, however it is not pale enough so I have to mix it with my Barry M white foundation (please let me know if you would like a review on this). But because this is quite a lightweight product you could get away with it not matching you exactly. What I will say about the shade is that it is not orange, which I hate! It may not be light enough for me but it is a lovely shade and does not look at all orange if I wear it on its own, it just makes me look a little more tanned. This is great considering the fact that most drugstore foundations come up orange on my skin tone.

Apart from the colour range though, I think this is a really great product! I have normal to combination skin and I find that it does tend to get a bit shiny throughout the day, but it stays put and does not melt of my face! So it doesn't bother me that it gets a bit shiny as I can just blot my skin as and when I need to. Because of the shininess though I think people with very oily skin may want to stay away, unless you use a really good setting powder. I love the coverage it gives also, I would not say it is full coverage like it says but it covers enough that I don't feel the need for concealer. I would also like to say that my skin is very acne prone and at the moment it has flared up! But this sits on spots really nicely, it does not make them look dry or crispy it just glides over them and makes your skin look much more flawless.

Overall I really like this product for an everyday foundation, it makes a nice change from my usual full coverage foundations. The consistency of this product is light and creamy, it feels so nice on your skin! It is available and boots and is only £6.99 which I think is a very reasonable price!

After trying this product I definitely would like to venture more into the 'BB cream world' so if you have any recommendations please let me know!

Thanks

Today I have a review and comparison of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter and the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick. I have one from each brand in similar colours and have been testing them for the past few weeks.

Some background information on the products...
Both products retail for £7.99 (UK) in both Boots and Superdrug, so there is not much to compare on price. This is not amazingly cheap, however it is a very decent price for a good lip product. I have the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in the shade 'Strawberry Shortcake' and the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in the shade 'Lovely Rose 03'. These shades both a sort of 'barbie pink' colour but because of the different formula's they apply differently on the lips.

The formulations...
The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter is the most pigmented out of the two. The term 'lipbutter' certainly lives up to expectations, it is creamy, thick and very moisturising! It also lasts quite well on the lips, which is surprising. Once the product has worn off it leaves almost a stain on your lip,s which is really nice as you do not have to keep applying it as often.
The L'Oreal Rouge Caresse is a much thinner consistency and it is not as pigmented. It reminds me of a tinted lip balm, however it is not as moisturising as the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in my opinion because it is not as thick. It also does not last very long at all which means you need to reapply it more often. However the plus side of this product is that you do not need a mirror to reapply it because it is sheer, meaning you only have to quickly sweep it on your lips and your done. Whereas with the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter you do need to be a bit more careful.

Overall thoughts...
In my opinion the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter is the better product. It lasts longer, its more pigmented and it is more creamy and moisturising. However it depends what you are looking for in these products, a lot of people prefer the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse because it is more like a lip balm. So if you are looking for a tinted lip balm that you can just chuck on without a mirror you should go for the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse. But if you are looking for a moisturising lipstick that you have to take your time applying, but will last longer you should go for the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter.

I hope you found this review and comparison helpful, let me know what one you prefer and what colours you would recommend!
Similar to higher end brands, such as MAC, these palettes allow you to get a palette and choose your own individual eye shadows and blushes. The pallet's are £5 and the eye shadows and blushes are £4. You can fit 4 blushes/eye shadows in your palette and you can mix and match what product you can put in them. This means that overall your filled palette will cost £21, which in my opinion is quite expensive for drugstore make-up. However when I brought mine there was an offer on where you got your palette free when you brought four eye shadows/blushes. I am not aware if this offer is still on.

The palette itself is very nice and good quality. I have it in black, but you can also get it in red. This is great because you can have one for blush and one for eye shadow and you don't have to look inside to see whats in them. The palette also has a big mirror which I use everyday when doing my makeup because it is a perfect size. the palette is also great for travel because it is very thin and closes shut securely.

I picked up two blushes and two eye shadows to test them out. Firstly the eye shadows, which i was not impressed with. I found the eye shadows did not have very good pigmentation and were hard to blend. Although they are drugstore products I expected more considering that they are £4 and MUA shadows (which are great quality) are only £1! So I would not recommend the eye shadows from this range. However the blushes are fantastic, they are super pigmented and matte which is really hard to find in a drugstore blush. If you are very heavy handed with your blush these may not be for you as you only need a light hand to get great colour pay off. I also love the fact that you can change the intensity of the colour, depending on how much you use.

Pro's...
-The blushes are great quality
-You can put blush and eyeshadow in the same palette
-Good to travel with
-Nice quality palette
-You can have the products in the palette or in single cases
-You can see the name of the product through the back of the palette
-It is easy to pop out the products and change what you have in the palette

Con's...
-The eye shadows are not great quality
-The price adds up quite quickly when buying the complete palette
-If you are heavy handed you will not get on with the blushes
-There is not a great shade range

Overall i think these palettes are a great idea, I was just disappointed with the eye shadows. I will definitely get two more blushes to replace the eye shadows in my palette because they are fantastic! I hope they will extend the shade range and maybe create new products to put in the palette such as lipstick and cream products. definitely check these palettes out when you next visit superdrug!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8400556444092143841.post-69197943550550375032012-03-01T09:30:00.000-08:002012-03-01T09:30:13.376-08:00No7 Vouchers- What I would recommend using them onHi guys, The No7 vouchers are out again and I thought I would share some recommendations of what to use them on. The vouchers out at the moment are valid until 25th March 2012 and are worth £5. If you have never heard about the No7 vouchers they are money off any No7 product in Boots, you get them when you spend over a certain amount in any Boots store.

My first recommendation is one of my favourite products from No7, it is the Metallic eye pencil. This pencil is fantastic and in my opinion it is as good as the Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencil. It goes smoothly onto the water line and lasts for a good majority of the day. The only downfall to this product is that there are only 3 colours available green, blue and purple. I have the green one and i am definitely going to get the other two with my No7 vouchers. This product is £7.75, which means if you use your voucher it is just £2.75 which is an amazing deal!

My next recommendation is the eyeshadow blend and contour brush. This is said to be a dupe for the MAC 217, however i do not own this brush so I cannot say if I agree with this. But what I do know is this is an amazing brush for applying shadow to the crease. It does shed a little but nothing drastic, it also cleans well and keeps its shape. This is usually £7.25 which is a good price for a decent brush, but with the voucher it is £2.25! It is hard to find any brush for that kind of money, let alone on that is good quality.

This one is for the nail polish junkies! No7 have brought out a mini nail kit with 4 limited edition nail polishes inspired by precious metals and gemstones. All the shades are beautiful and a great deal at £8.00, that's £2 per nail polish! But again if you use the voucher it will cost £3, which means you are getting each nail polish for less than a pound each!

My final recommendation is the beautifully balanced purifying cleanser, I have only tried the one for oily/combination skin. I really like this cleanser because it is really gentle but still leaves your skin feeling clean and very soft. I also like that it left my skin matte but not dry. This product is £8.00 but will cost you only £3 with the voucher.
Here are just a few of my recommendations for what to use your No7 vouchers on. I have tried other products from No7 but haven't been too impressed with them so if you would like me to do a post on them products then please let me know! They also have a new 'beautiful skin' range which looks very nice, but u haven't tried anything from the range so i cannot tell you if it is good or not. Please let me know what products you recommend i use my No7 vouchers on!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8400556444092143841.post-70774278609691905032012-02-26T10:08:00.001-08:002012-02-26T10:08:32.001-08:00E.L.F cosmetics- product reviews, swatches and overall opinion

This post is going to be about E.L.F (eyes, lips, face) cosmetics. If you haven't heard of them before they are a brand of cosmetics that sell many items at very low prices. They have three different collections, the first is the basic collection. The majority of the products in the basic range are £1.50, however it can vary slightly depending on the product. then there is the studio line and the mineral line, these lines are slightly more expensive however they are still great value for money! I have made a couple of orders from E.L.F and I have mixed opinions on the products. First I will share my thoughts on the products I own from E.L.F.

First is the brightening eye colour quad, these retail for £1.50. This is a great deal for 4 eye shadows and they have a wide range of colours to choose from. The quality of the eye shadows is ok for the money however I found that the quality of the shadows varied in the palette I had. You can probably see in the swatches below that the blue and cream colour had good pigmentation and were not too chalky, these were the colours I was most happy with. The pink had great pigmentation but is quite chalky and has a lot of fall out. The purple however had rubbish pigmentation!

The next product is the shimmer eyeliner pencil, this also retails for £1.50. The shade I have is Grassy Green. This eyeliner is nice and pigmented and is reasonably soft. It is great for applying on the lower lash line however it does not apply well to the water line. When I tried to apply it to my water line the colour did not come off. But for the price it is a nice base if you are using colour along the lower lash line.

I was very excited to try this product however i was very disappointed when i tried it. This product is the luscious liquid lipstick. It sounds lovely, I was expecting a smooth creamy gloss. However i find these to be very sticky, thick and goopy. I have two shades of these, strawberry and baby lips. Strawberry is the most pigmented of the two, it leaves a red tint to the lips. Baby lips is a gorgeous colour when swatched but when it is applied to the lips it does not transfer. These are £1.50.

The next item was a big disappointment, but don't worry I do have some good products after this. This product is the waterproof eyeliner pen, I had this in two shades coffee and midnight. But I cannot swatch them because I threw them away! It could have just been that I got a bad two but I still am not impressed! They were dry as soon as I opened them, meaning they would not apply well. These are cheap at £1.50 but I wouldn't waist your money on them!

Next is a product that is part of the studio line, the cream eyeliners. I only have one off these in the shade coffee however since I bought mine they have brought out a range of different colours which i am dying to try! Before I start raving about this product I need to let you know that they do not last well on the upper lash line as i find they print onto my upper lid, however if you have never had this problem with gel liners then you may not experience this. I use this product on my water line and it is fantastic! It glides on with great pigmentation and lasts all day, it also does not irritate my eyes which some eyeliners can do. This product costs £3.50, which i think is an amazing price for the quality of the product. The brush it comes with is also ok, it is definitely usable but you may prefer to use another brush.

Another product from the studio line is the matte lip colour, this is also £3.50. This is a lovely product as it gives a beautiful matt finish and lasts really well. It is not very drying to the lips however if you are like me and like really moisturised lips at all times you may want to put a gloss over it. This is a nice product and definitely worth £3.50.
The final product is the eyelid primer, this is part of the basic range and is £1.50. I have also had the mineral eyelid primer but I cannot tell a difference so you might as well save some money and get this one. I have very oily eyelids so I can never go without a primer on my eye. I was using the urban decay primer potion and then I ran out, I couldn't justify spending the money on another one so I desperately searched for ways to get around it. Then I came across a comparison of this and the urban decay primer potion and it said it was just as good. So I ordered it from the E.L.F website and fell in love, it does a great job. My only complaint is that it runs out quite fast so you may need to stock up each time you order. Since then I have been trying the MUA eye primer and have chosen it over the E.L.F one only because I can get it from my local superdrug. But I definitely recommend getting this if you are looking for an inexpensive eye primer!

Overall I think E.L.F is a great brand as it offers nice products at great prices! But if you are new to E.L.F then i would recommend searching reviews of things before you buy them as the quality of the products do vary. Also the swatches available on the website are pretty rubbish to be honest so its best to search for swatches online. I will be making another order from E.L.f in the near future so please let me know what products you would recommend from them. Thanks for reading this post!
This mascara usually retails for £10 in boots, in my opinion it is an ok price for a drugstore mascara. This is my first product from the soap and glory make up range and after trying it I am hoping to get more of the range.

The name 'thick and fast' certainly describes the result you get from this mascara. It gives you volumised lashes with only a couple of coats. I have been using this mascara for a few days and have had not trouble with it smudging or drying up and flaking. It my opinion it is the perfect formula, not too watery and not too dry. Another thing I love about this mascara is the fact that it is not too hard to remove, it isn't as easy as some other mascaras I have tried but you don't have to sit there for ages scrubbing at your eye. As you can see below it is a bristle brush, i personaly prefer plastic wands but this is an exception! The size of the wand is also nice, it isn't too big.
As you can see from the pictures this mascara really volumises your lashes without making them look clumpy. One complaint I have about this mascara is that it does not hold the curl of my lashes very well and they start to drop throughout the day. But apart from that I really like this mascara and I am looking forward to trying more soap and glory makeup products, so if you have any recomendations please let me know!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8400556444092143841.post-51201850259845674322012-02-08T08:32:00.000-08:002012-02-12T04:27:35.123-08:00MAC Pro Longwear Lipcolour reviewWhen i used this product for the first time I could not believe it was from MAC! The product i am talking about is the MAC pro longwear lipcolour. According to MAC this product is comformatble, kissable and long lasting. This lip product is certainly not confortable and i would not kiss anybody with it! However I will give it to them it is long lasting, you cant get it off! On the website they suggest using a cleanse off oil, which i dont mind if i actually like wearing it.

My first problem with this product is the price, at £17.50 it is quite expensive for a lip product. But it is MAC so you expect these prices, but you also expect to recieve good quality products. The shade i got this product in is Durashell if anyone is wondering. This product cosists of two sections, a long lasting colour and a clear gloss to go over the top.

Above you can see what the base colour looks like on my lips, it is a very nice colour but feels and looks horrible. At first it is soft and creamy on your lips but then it dries and sinks into the cracks in your lips. It also breks apart leaving an uneven stripey finish.

Above is what it looks like after you have applied the gloss. I wasnt to keen on this either as it was very wet, however I prefer this to sticky. It made the lipstick a bit more comfortable on the lips, however it spread the bits of dried up product around making it look even worse!

I would definately not reccomend this product and suggest saving your money on something else! To be honest it isnt even the price, I would be angry even if this was a drugstore brand. It is a shame as MAC is a very reputable company and has many great products, however this is definately not one of them!

Sorry for the negative review but i had to let you know about this product! Hope you enjoyed anyway x

I had to let you know about this amazing offer that superdrug are having at the moment. As valentines is approaching everywhere is having offers on their fragrances and I thought this one was worth a mention.

The offer is on the Beyoncé Heat perfume. This fragrance is fun, girly and sweet and in my opinion a great every day scent! The top notes in this fragrance are Red Vanilla Orchid, Magnolia, Neroli, and blush Peach. The heart notes are a combination of Almond Macaroon, Honeysuckle Nectar and Crème de Musk. And finally the base notes are giant Sequoia Milkwood, Tonka Bean and Amber. All together these ingrediants make a perfect blend of sweet, fruity and woody scents to make a fantastic smelling perfume.

The best part is still to come, superdrug are selling this fragrance for £19.99 and thats the 100ml version, the largest size you can get in this perfume! This size of the perfume is usually £37.99 which means you get a massive saving of £18.00! This is a great deal, you certainly dont want to miss out! So get down to your local superdrug and have a smell, in my opinion this fragrance would be suitable for many age groups as it is not overly sweet.

Hope you go and check out this amazing deal and make sure to let me know if you like it!
